Michael Steinfeld founded Steinfeld Law in 2007 with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between the expensive expertise of big City law firms, and the more affordable, flexible and accommodating services provided by smaller boutique practices.

Michael began his career with the large City law firm, Titmuss, Sainer & Webb in 1970, before becoming a partner in 1972. Following its merger with the US  firm Dechert in 2000, Michael became a senior corporate partner in the London office of the merged international law firm of Dechert LLP.

A long-held dream of Michael’s was to establish his own practice, taking with him his wealth of experience and expertise in matters ranging from complex corporate finance transactions and capital markets to mergers, acquisitions and general corporate issues. Michael saw a gap in the market: few firms were able to provide high-level, city -type competent and commercial legal advice, in a small,  approachable, dynamic and flexible setting. Over his many years in the law, Michael developed a loyal client-following, and when he established Steinfeld Law in 2007, many of these clients accompanied him as he embarked on his new journey.

Steinfeld Law celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2017 and continues to experience organic growth driven primarily by our loyal client following and personal recommendations from existing clients. In April 2020, Steinfeld Law was delighted to announce that Adam Hearn had become a partner of the firm. He will continue to work closely with Michael to develop the firm’s strong corporate and commercial practice.
